The RPNVG (Ruggedized Panning Night Vision Goggle) is an extremely rugged panning binocular night vision goggle which features an optional wider field of view, an onboard illuminator, and battery pack capability. The RPNVG offers superior ruggedness and durability from an aircraft grade aluminum housing. Using an aluminum housing provides extra impact resistance and protects important contact points on the goggle.
The optical pods on the RPNVG are like no other goggle. They move along the bridge both horizontally and pan outward for a wider field of view (FOV). The RPNVG allows for users to manually adjust its FOV between 40-65 degrees. While in the standard 40 degree position the goggle acts as a standard fully collimated fixed bridge goggle. However, when panned outward the user can adjust for a wider field of view to achieve a wider view with less movement.
Another unique feature of the Ruggedized Panning Night Vision Goggle is the ability to detach each optical pod from the bridge to be ran as individual monoculars with the monocular battery assembly (sold separately).
In addition to superior durability, the Ruggedized Panning Night Vision Goggle offers flexibility for power supply. The RPNVG can be powered off of the on board CR123 battery or with a lemo port compatible battery pack.
RPNVG Ocular Lenses
The RPNVG uses PVS-14 ocular and objective lenses. This makes them familiar to many users and adjustable to each users eyesight. In addition to PVS-14 ocular lenses, RPNVG’s can be built with DEP Ether Ocular lenses. DEP Ether ocular lenses are 30% lighter than PVS-14 eyepieces, offer a larger eye box, and lock in place once focused.

- Spot Spec: This option is manufactured with L3 aviation grade tubes. This is the strictest spot spec available from L3Harris. These tubes do not have any spots >.003″ in zone 1 or zone 2. Spots </= .003″ are acceptable.
- These units are hand selected for the absolute best image quality and spot spec.
